Week 7 - Group Project Updates

Hey guys,

This week's blogpost requires each team leader to post an update on their project - you can all contribute your part.

What is the topic and focus company for your group's project?
What analytical framework(s) will your group use?
What is the main challenge you're facing (how do you plan to tackle it?)

Topic: We have chosen gesture control as our topic, specifically focussing on how to use this technology in the medical and medical education field. We will be focussing on universities as our company, they will be training future surgeons and rehabilitation specialists in the use of the new technology.

Frameworks: We are looking at using the Managerial Levers and IS Strategy Triangle frameworks, focussing on how to promote the technology to the industry at large.

Main Challenge: The main challenge we have faced is getting everyone together to work on the project, outside of class time. We are planning to use Google Drive and Hangouts to allow us to collaborate from separate locations.

Company: Medical equipment supplier or dental equipment supplier.

Framework: Porter Value Chain and Managerial Lever

Challenge: Finding supplier is not easy because it is depend on the demand of people who actually need it. New Zealand is not a country with large population.
